シクラメン・グラエクム
ヨーロッパからトルコ、イスラエル、ソマリアなどに野生のシクラメンが２０種あまり分布しています。よく鉢物として出回っているのはキクラメン・ペルシクムの園芸品種でやや大型の種類です。小型で可愛いらしい種類が多くみられますが、本種もそのひとつです。ギリシャのアテネ郊外では６，７ｍもあるイチゴノキの樹下に点々とカンアオイが生えているかのように育っています。種からでも簡単に育てられる丈夫で魅力的な野草です。
Cyclamen graecum is found in the forest of 6〜7m high Arbutus unedo (Ericaceae) in Greece. It is a pretty bulbous plant. Growing from seeds is a great fun because they form small bulbs after germinating and the skin-colored babies of cyclamen get bigger eventually.
