カエンボク
カエンボクはローソクの炎を思わせる花から「火炎木」と名付けられました。英名のアフリカン・チューリップは花の形にちなんでいます。大型の赤い花は、コウモリによる送粉に適しています。燃えるような美しい花は、世界中の熱帯地域で街路樹や庭園樹として植えられています。
Spathodea campanulata, is commonly known as the African tuliptree. The tree grows between 7 –25 m tall and is native to tropical dry forests of Africa. This tree is planted as an ornamental tree throughout the tropics and in the green house. However it is known as the world worst invader.
