ゲンティアナ・アカウリス チャボリンドウ（白花）
チャボリンドウはバルカン半島、ヨーロッパの南部、中部のアルプス、カルパチア、ピレネー山脈の標高１７００m〜３０００mに分布しています。ブルーの美しい花ですが、現在開花しているものは白花の変異品です。チャボは「小さい」アカウリスは「茎無し」の意味でその草姿を表現しています。
Gentiana acaulis is native to the Balkans, southern and central Europe incl. the Alps,Carpathiana and Pyrenees at an altitude of 1700〜3000m.Usually flower is glorious deep blue flower but this photo shows the form of alba.Flower can reach up to only 7cm long, so it is called stemless gentian in Englishand acaulis (=stemless) in Latin. It has been chosen as the logo ofthe Alpine Garden Society in UK.
